HI 4 ESSAY PRESENTATION

One of the requirements of HI4 students to get the High Intermediate certificate is that they have to write a short essay consisting of 400 to 500 words and present their essays in front of the evaluators and their friends during the oral test session. One tip for HI4 students in order to have a smooth and exciting presentation is that they have to comprehensively know what to present and enjoy doing it.
Ikhsan, a former HI-4 student from Mr.Tri Haryadi's class, is an excellent example of how to do the presentation with confidence and fun. He really mastered the material and was full of enthusiasm doing it as you can see in the video (you can copy his vcd file to M.Yo) . He shared his experience that blogging was a great and exciting activity.
If you still have doubt about your essay, your teachers are always ready to help you prepare for it. So HI4 students, do your best and good luck!

STUDENT'S COMPETITION:SAY for EA (IN-3 to HI-4 and CV-4 to CV-6)

This contest is for EA programs: IN-3 up to Hi- 4 and CV programs: CV-3 up to CV-6. The participants must perform a creative presentation using posters, short plays, songs,videos, etc. in 5 to 7 minutes presentation. Each participant chooses a topic out of the five topics provided for the presentation under the grand topic of "My World, My Dream". The five topics are :

1.Effective Future Community Leadership in the Developing for a Safer and Better world.
2.Child's Rights and Millennium Development Goals (point 7 and 8)
3.Changing Environment Threats Into Opportunities for a Better World.
4.Strengthening Family and Community Empowerment.
5.Media as a partner in Promoting and Protecting Child's Rights.

Record your presentation using your handycam or your handphone (make sure the sound quality is clear enough) and submit it(the file) to your teacher and wait for our call whether or not you go to the final round on Sunday August 16 starting at 9 in LIA Ciputat. The 1st winner will represent LIA Ciputat to LIA NATIONAL STUDENT COMPETITION 2009 which will be held in September.
The winner will have to write a 1000-1500 word-essay based on the topic different from the one he/she chose in the preleminary round. Be one of the 20 LIA representatives to be sent as an ambassador in the International Youth Forum in Jakarta in October 2009.

THE FINALISTS WILL GET THE PRIZES AND CERTIFICATES FROM LIA CIPUTAT

PEDULI SITU GINTUNG

Sebagai tetangga yang mengetahui dan merasakan beban yang diemban para korban bencana Situ Gintung, LIA Ciputat dan Cinere melakukan penggalangan dana sumbangan dari para siswa. Dari usaha penggalangan dana itu terkumpul uang sebesar Rp.2.032.500,-. Dari jumlah tersebut kami serahkan ke LIA Pusat sebesar Rp.1.532.500,- yang kemudian setelah digabung dengan dana kontribusi dari LIA se Jabodetabek akan disumbangkan ke korban dengan koordinasi LIA Pusat, sedangkan yang Rp.500.000 kami serahkan langsung ke Pak Rahmat, karyawan UMJ yang memiliki sejarah persahabatan dengan LIA Ciputat.Sumbangan diserahkan langsung oleh Pak Sutoyo dan Pak Arif kepada Pak Rahmat yang sekarang tinggal di hunian sementara Kertamukti 2.
Kami mengucapkan banyak terima kasih kepada seluruh siswa atas sumbangan yang diberikan semoga Allah SWT membalas amal ibadahnya, amin.

SPARKLING DECEMBER

To give our children (EC students) media to express their language competence, in December 2008 we conducted an event called "Sparkling December".

This event, we plan to organize it annually, is very beneficial for our kids to practice their English though various contests such as Poetry Reading, Story Telling, Story Writing, Spelling Bee, Show and Tell, and Poster Making. The participants winning the contests will represent LIA CIPUTAT to join the similar contests held by other LIA branches.

LIA CAFE:

Before or after the class, students can spoil their tongue eating one of our various culinaries. While having their favorite menu, they can also browse internet in this cozy cafe - using their own notebook off course.
For the main menu, Mie ayam pangsit is the most wanted dish offered. With its yummy and exotic taste, you will find it is not enough to have one bowl for one strike. Wanna bet!
In order for all of us to always breathe fresh air, visitors are suggested to refrain from smoking here.

MULTI-MEDIA ROOM:

Specially designed for children, this room is where our EC students spend their time studying English through games containing English vocabularies. The kids are always enthusiastic to go in and click their favorite games.

Parents waiting for their beloved children and students waiting for their classes are now able to browse the internet in this vicinity with the best connection (please, bring your own notebook). Just contact one of the staff and ask for the password and then you can click in and start surfing the fascinating cyber-world. Then, you can start the journey of learning English there.
